Systems Engineer (Operations - Systems Analysis)

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Operations Analyst Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA.
The Joint Air Ground Operations team has the need for an additional operations analyst who is interested in working difficult problems, at the front end of the business, with particular emphasis on Land and Sea focused endeavors to include Weapons, Autonomous systems, Future Vertical Lift (FVL), Low Altitude and survivability analysis.
The Virtual Warfare Center (VWC), at large, is responsible for producing Family of Systems constructive and virtual analysis for future aircraft and weapons systems.
Observations derived from the analysis will be used to inform Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) investments and drive Phantom Works capture strategy.
Position
Responsibilities:
Modeling and simulation and analysis related disciplines as well as techniques to conduct analyses and experimentation.
Conducting operations analysis around autonomous systems, rotorcraft and weapons systems Deliver concise results from complex analyses Delivery of customer focused analysis, to address a variety of capability gaps.
Interface with government customers as well as internal Boeing Business Units to gather model inputs and share analysis results Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
This position requires an active US Secret Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
(A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) An interim and/or final US Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience working across multi-disciplined teams to investigate, design and develop solutions to complex problems More than 1 year of engineering experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Analytical Framework for Network Enabled Systems (AFNES) / Advanced Framework For Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM), Brawler, or other modeling tools, computer programming Engineering experience with models, simulations Excellent communications skills are highly desired because of the direct, constant interaction and interface with customers, senior management and teammates.
Prior or current rotary wing, fixed wing aircraft or autonomous systems operations experience or knowledge and familiarity with military rotary wing aviation operations, especially joint, Army, or Marine Aviation missions desired A strong desire to answer why or how questions related to military operations and system effectiveness through data analysis Experience working with other functions and sites Basic knowledge of or experience with C, C+, C++, MATLAB, Advanced Framework For Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) Experience developing mathematical models representing physical systems Experience conducting constructive analysis of military weapon systems to determine system effectiveness Typical Education &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
