Senior Systems Engineer
At the Boeing site in Herndon, Virginia, our engineers design, build, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.
For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated team member for our Systems Engineering Capability to support proprietary programs being performed for US government customers who are responsible for exciting national security missions.
As an experienced Systems Engineer, you would review and analyze our system architecture and develop upgrade recommendations to ensure our products and platforms fully meet our customer's rapidly evolving needs.
You would lead out in requirements definition and management, and provide oversight and planning input for our rigorous verification programs.
The Maritime UnderseaIntegrated Missions portfolio for which these programs are a part, include teams in Huntington Beach CA.
This position may provide the occasional opportunity to travel to the Huntington Beach facility to accomplish knowledge transfer and collaboration with the technical team there.

Review system architecture and recommend enhancements to meet customer's emerging needs on a dynamic program Define, update, and allocate system requirements and maintain the associated specifications and documentation Provide oversight and tracking support for the requirements validation and verification efforts for the program This position requires an active US Top Secret/ SCI Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
(A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Experience at conducting and briefing trade studies Experience at develop test and verification plans Experience generating test and verification reports Experienced user of DOORS to track verification of requirements Experience with requirements definition and allocation Typical Education &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD4 years' related work experience, Master7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Relocation:
