Summary:
This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality service in mental health and chemical dependency treatment to our patients, the public and our co-workers.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
Assess patients in order to identify strengths/weaknesses to help direct treatment goals.
Conduct safe and treatment/goal focused Adjunctive Therapy groups.
Record and document treatment and patient progress to assist in monitoring patient care and accurate recording of departmental services.
Provide psychoeducation on both mental health and therapeutic modalities to patients and staff to increase knowledge, professional development and ensure quality care.
Participate in Performance Improvement of Department to ensure continuous quality improvement of services offered.
Maintain safe and clean work environment and orders supplies/materials to ensure effective patient care.
Participate in ongoing education and demonstrate competency with all populations and ages served.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
Master's Degree in Music, Art, Dance/Movement or Creative Arts Therapy.
Membership or Certification from appropriate association.
Some clinical experience preferred.
Qualified to provide mental health/chemical dependency services to applicable patient age groups.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
