The Service Advisor works with customers to schedule service work and communicates any additional services needed. He or she manages the administrative and customer relations aspects of the Service department. The Service Advisor interprets customer concerns and comments for the technician so that the technician will diagnose problems correctly and translates the technician's findings into language the customer will understand.
The ideal candidate for this position has at least two years of experience in a dealership position, general knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations, a valid Virginia or Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record, and can work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when required. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal professionally with customers, employees, and vendors.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
