Standards Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Standards Engineer (Falmouth, VA) Responsibilities include developing, analyzing, and documenting telecommunications capability requirements in support of client needs for various packet-based technologies and mobile application services (eg, 5G, 4G/LTE, Internet Protocol, Cable Systems, chat services, messaging).
It is expected that the candidate will work within a team to develop technical solutions to complex engineering problems, simplify and communicate complex technical issues to client while integrating feedback into work product, effectively communicate (in writing and orally) requirements at standards development organization or other industry meetings, and analyze and facilitate the incorporation of legal and regulatory requirements into the development of technical solutions for telecommunications systems.
Desired Requirements At least 5 years of experience or the equivalent with:
Design and/or standardization of telecommunications solutions in Voice over IP, wireless networks, messaging services, and/or broadband access technologies (Preferred), Development of technical requirements for telecommunication networks , products, or services, Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills are a MUST Must be able to read and analyze detailed technical communications specifications published by various standards organizations (eg, 3GPP, ATIS, IETF, IEEE) Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, SIP, DIAMETER/RADIUS, IPSec, TLS, PKI, GSM, UMTS, CDMA, LTE, 5G New Radio, or device-to-device communications is preferred Detailed knowledge of with IETF, ITU, ATIS, TIA, 3GPP/3GPP2, PacketCable, ETSI NFV, and W3C standards organizations is a plus Experience with a federal government consulting environment preferred Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work well as part of a team EDUCATION REQUIRED BS degree or higher in a related technical field required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
